Read the manga of the hit anime series!
Tsutomu Nihei has always managed to fascinate fans with his dark sci-fi stories and unique art style. With Knights of Sidonia you're in for yet another treat! Prepare yourself for galactical mecha fights, unique and likeable characters (excluding Kunato!), as well as just the right amount of comedy and romance.
Outer space, the far future.
A lone seed ship, the Sidonia, plies the void, ten centuries since the obliteration of the solar system. The massive, nearly indestructible, yet barely sentient alien life forms that destroyed humanity's home world continue to pose an existential threat.
Nagate Tanikaze has only known life in the vessel's bowels deep below the sparkling strata where humans have achieved photosynthesis and new genders. Not long after he emerges from the Underground, however, the youth is bequeathed a treasured legacy by the spaceship's coolheaded female captain.

Should you hide your "weird" interests from your colleagues? For not only Nagisa, these are some things a lot "otaku" might have asked themselves. Any-who, no matter what fandom you're in, Complex Age is an intriguing and thought provoking read. (P.S. You do you, boo!)
Twentysix year old Nagisa Kataura has a secret. By all appearances, she's an average tempworker, but beneath her businesscasual exterior she's a devoted cosplayer. Transforming into her favorite anime and manga characters is her passion in life, and her hard work and creativity has earned Nagisa respect amongst her cosplay cohorts. But to the rest of society, her hobby is a silly fantasy, so she has to keep her two worlds separate. However, as demands from both sides of her life begin to increase, she may one day have to make a tough choice - what's more important to her, cosplay or being "normal"
