Notice of Coin (JPY) to Point (USD) Conversion

Thank you for using BOOK☆WALKER Global.

As announced in the Notice of Ownership Transfer for BOOK☆WALKER Global, as part of the business transfer of the BOOK☆WALKER Global service, the “Buy with Coins (JPY)” payment feature, which uses yen-based Coins (hereafter referred to as “Coin (JPY)”), will be discontinued after March 31st, 2025.

Since BOOK☆WALKER Global only accepts US dollar payment starting from April 1, 2025, we will offer to exchange Coin (JPY) purchased via the Android in-app store or the Japan web store (bookwalker.jp) into US dollar-based Points (hereafter referred to as “Point (USD)”) for a certain period.
Please refer to the details below for the rules and steps involved in the conversion.
*You may continue using your Coin (JPY) in the Japan store after the transfer.



1. Exchange Request Term:
April 1st - May 31st, 2025 PT (Pacific Time)

2. Full Exchange Only:
You can only exchange the full amount of non-expiring Standard Coins (JPY) you own into non-expiring Standard Points (USD).
Please note that partial exchanges are not allowed and the Standard Coins (JPY) you hold will expire.
- Eligible for Exchange: Only non-expiring “Standard Coin (JPY)” can be exchanged for non-expiring, paid “Standard Points (USD)”.
- Not Eligible for Exchange: “Limited Time Coin (JPY)”, which were granted to your account for free (as a membership perk, through point-back campaigns, or via eBook purchases), are not eligible for exchange.

3. Exchange Rate:
The exchange rate of 1 USD = 140 JPY (rounded to two decimal places) will be applied when converting from Coin (JPY) to Point (USD).
Example: 1053 Coins (JPY) will be converted to 7.52 Points (USD).
Calculation: 1053 / 140 = 7.521… (rounded to 7.52)


1. Exchange Requests (April 1st - May 31st PT):
Submit your request to exchange Coins (JPY) to Points (USD) via the Google Form.
Important: You will need to provide your Point Affiliate ID in order for us to identify your BOOK☆WALKER account.
You will not be able to receive points if you do not enter your Point Affiliate ID, or if you enter an incorrect ID.
You may check your Point Affiliate ID from My Account, > Personal Information.

2. Exchange Processing (By June 13th):
Based on responses from the Google Form, we will convert Coins (JPY) into Points (USD) for eligible customers.
- Non-expiring Standard Points (USD) will be credited to your account.
- The Standard Coin (JPY) you hold will expire.
- You will be notified of the completion of the exchange via the store’s Messages.
