[Important] The term valid for gift codes issued through “Buy as Gift” function after July 29th Japan Time will change to 180 days.

BOOK☆WALKER offer our customers a “Buy as Gift” function, which allows customers to buy eBooks as a gift to send to others. Currently, the gift code (redemption code) issued when an eBook is purchased through this function is valid for one year from its purchase. However, gift codes purchased through this function after 10:00 am on July 29, 2019 Japan Time will have an expiration date of 180 days from its purchase.

In addition, customers can currently buy the same item (eBook) as a gift up to 10 times per year, but this will also change after 10:00 am on July 29, 2019 Japan Time, to 10 times within 180 days after the first purchase of the item (eBook) .
*Customers may purchase more than 11 eBooks of same item as a gift after 180 days of the first purchase made.

■ Changes for “Buy as Gift” function after 10:00 am on July 29, 2019 Japan Time

(1) Gift codes are valid for
- (BEFORE) 1 year from its purchase
- (AFTER) 180 days from its purchase

[Example]
When purchased on Aug.1, 2019, the gift code is valid up to Jan.27, 2020.

(2) You can buy the same item (eBook) as a gift up to
- (BEFORE) 10 times per year
- (AFTER) 10 times per 180 days

[Example]
(1) Purchased “book A” 5 times on Aug.1, 2019
(2) Purchased “book A” 5 times on Sep.1, 2019
(3) Can purchase “book A” up to 5 times from Jan.28, 2020

Please also be advised that there is no change in the gift code's expiration date as well as the period required for the 11th purchase for gift purchases made before July 29.
*You may check the “Your Gift Orders” page to confirm the expiration of the gift code issued in the past.
