[Important Notice] Changes for the BOOK☆WALKER Pre-order/Gift Purchase System

Thank you for using BOOK☆WALKER.

The following changes will be applied to the BOOK☆WALKER Pre-order/Gift Purchase system from March 27 (Wednesday), 2024 JST*.
*All dates listed are subject to change.

Coins that users currently hold will not be converted to points, which means that pre-orders will fail if the point balance is not sufficient.
Users who wish to use points for pre-orders, please purchase points via the Google Play Store (BOOK☆WALKER Android App from outside of Japan only) after March 27 or switch to credit card/PayPal until your point balance is stocked.


Alongside the base currency change for the Global store from Japanese Yen (JPY) to US Dollar (USD), the payment system for Pre-order/Gift Purchase via Credit Card will change from SB Payment Service to Stripe.

Currently, Stripe can only be used for Regular Purchase (Add to Cart).




Please register your credit card on Stripe before March 27, 2024 (JST).
To ensure a smooth transition, it’s highly recommended to register your credit card again, even if you have already saved your credit card information on Stripe for Regular Purchase (Add to Cart).


1. Access “My Account” > Personal Information: Credit Card (Stripe)
2. Click “Edit”
3. Follow the instructions on Stripe


For all Pre-order/Gift Purchase titles released before March 27, 2024 the current credit card payment system (SB Payment Service) will be used.
Users who currently don’t have their credit card information registered and want to pre-order/purchase titles as a gift before March 27, please register your credit card from the “List of Pre-ordered eBooks” page by clicking “Register/update your credit card” at the bottom.

*Users who chose PayPal for their Pre-order/Gift Purchases are not affected by the above changes.



Please note, that for titles pre-ordered before March 27 that are released after March 28, the estimated USD price during pre-order might differ from the actual price on the release date.
As for Gift Purchases, you will not be charged extra nor receive refunds for titles purchased through “Buy as Gift” before March 27 but redeemed after March 28, even if the title price differs.

No titles will be released on March 27.
