    Profile: OKAYADO

During the year 2011, OKAYADO began posting his “Monster Musume” comics in full color in Anthology Comic’s “Kemono 02”. In May 2012, he was able to debut with his Monser Musume series in Tokuma Shoten’s COMIC RYU. When Volume 1 of the series was finally released in September of the same year, it was so popular that they decided to order reprints the very next day! Even today, OKAYADO’s Monster Musume series is a big hit. In addition to Monster Musume, he has also published “12 BEAST” under KADOKAWA.

    - Comment from OKAYADO
"I am so honored to get the change to attend Anime Expo this year---but wait is it really okay for me to go?! Do they have the right person? Of all the worthy people, me? Is this okay?! A-a-anyways, I'm going and I'll be sure to do my best! Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!"

Monster Musume, also known as Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou and Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls is the story of an ordinary guy whose life is turned upside down when he gets involved with a very unusual species exchange program, and his home welcomes an array of hot girls, who just happen to be monsters.

With nine volumes, and over 2.3 million copies sold in Japan as of February 2016, and all eight volumes of Seven Seas Entertainment’s print edition of Monster Musume hitting the New York Times Graphic Books – Manga Bestsellers list, it’s clear that OKAYADO’s manga monster girls have won the hearts of readers in Japan, North America, and beyond. The anime version of Monster Musume is currently available on DVD from Sentai Filmworks, and via online streaming on

    Profile: Nami Sano

After the success of Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto, Sano is currently working on concepts for her next series. In the meantime, she’s thrilled to take a break from her drawing board to be meet her fans in North America for the first time.

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto, also known as Sakamoto Desu Ga? is a 4-volume comedy manga series about a super suave, utterly unflappable high school student. Sakamoto is not only handsome, tall, and smart, he always finds an ultra-stylish way to do even the most mundane tasks. He outwits bullies with ease, and leaves a trail of broken hearts in his wake. Sakamoto is so incredibly cool, he’s almost too good to be true! Or is he?

Seven Seas Entertainment is currently publishing Nami Sano's debut manga series, Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto, in North America, with the fourth and final volume being released this summer.

    - Comment from Nami Sano

“I am so honored and thankful to be invited to Anime Expo.
In comparison to all the other Japanese manga, anime, and dramas depicting Japanese school life in a fictitious or fancy way, the story of Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto is based on plain suburban school life & unique Japanese habits. So, there might be a lot of unfamiliar cultural references and expressions for U.S. readers. I’m really interested in how readers outside of Japan have accepted this piece.
I’ll do my best to liven up Anime Expo. Douzo Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu.”
